Ye Old Skinny Dipping Hole
This weekend, we discovered a new place to escape to when it is HOT! Panther Falls is a really great swimming hole located just a few miles west of Buena Vista off Route 60. It also has good hiking nearby, and some great (albeit outhouse-free) campsites, too. If you live nearby and want to check it out, here is some information: Panther Falls
Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't have any photos of skinny-dippers. Just the usual parade of Matthew photos by a river below the falls! If you want to see skinny-dippers, you're just going to have to drive up and see Panther Falls yourself. The water, I might add, is freezing. (Especially if your nekkid? How would I know?)
Fun Places
This week, Matthew and I took a quick hike up one of my favorite little trails off the Blue Ridge Parkway, the site of an abandoned mining railroad and a gorgeous waterfall. Matthew had fun running wild, picking up bugs and pretending to be a train, and I had fun following the little goofball with the camera.
Even though this week has been an adjustment, and it will be nice to have Ryan home this weekend, I am really having so much fun spending these long afternoons with Matthew and catching up on "mom" time!
